3D printing is the method for construction of a three-dimensional object from a digital 3D model. It started as a rapid prototyping methodology, but now being used in industrial production. This session will introduce the basic principles of 3D printing, the types of printing methodologies and materials. It will touch upon various conventional and non-conventional applications, alongwith advantages & limitations of the process.
